Now there are custom fit kits for your Chevrolet Malibu, but they are a little bit more involved when it comes to the install. Definitely worth it, because they give you a solid sturdy surface, but if you want a quick, easy, temporary solution then the SeaSucker monkey bars might be the option for you. Inno Roof Rack Review - 2018 Chevrolet Malibu- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Malibu, we're gonna be test fitting the INNO Aero roof rack system consisting of part numbers INXB108-115. These are the 42 inch long and 45 inch long crossbars. We'll also be using part number INXS200, these are the INNO flush feet for the Aero crossbars, particularly for naked roofs, and finally part number INK689, and this is the custom fit kit for the Chevrolet Malibu.The INNO Aero crossbars are great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof and freeing up space inside your Malibu. You can carry anything from bike racks to cargo baskets to ski and snowboard carriers. The bars themselves have an aerodynamic shape to them and that, coupled with the rubber strip up at the top, is gonna cut down the wind noise and drag while you're driving, reducing the need for a fairing that you may need for square or round bars.While this roof rack system does boast more of a natural factory look to it that you would get with some vehicles, it does have a disadvantage. Best 2018 Chevrolet Malibu Roof Rack Options- Video

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best roof rack options available for our 2017 Chevy Malibu. We'll have a Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack system and our Yakima Jetstream Roof Rack system.We'll first start off by pointing out some of the differences between the two bars and the most obvious is going to be the length, with the Yakima Jetstream going significantly past where the Rhino Rack is. And this enables you to carry more accessories, especially in your t-track area. Now with the Rhino Rack, you can get longer bars, but you're going to have to purchase those separately.Next we'll talk about the end caps. With the Rhino Rack it does require a special tool to unlock them and remove them and you can replace this with a lock core which is sold separately. With the Yakima, it doesn't have any locks, but it simply slides off by popping off the end.You can utilize t-track accessories with both roof racks as we just mentioned, however it is a little different how they install. more

While the round bars are both durable and strong, they are gonna make noise while you drive, so you might have to purchase aftermarket bearings to cut down that wind noise and drag, which you can find on etrailer.com.These are very easy to install. Yakima Roof Rack Review - 2011 Chevrolet Malibu Y00146- Video

Today on our 2011 Chevrolet Malibu, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Roof Rack System, featuring part numbers Y00421, and these are the Yakima Core Bars, steel, 50 inches long. Also part number Y00146, and these are the baseline towers for the Yakima Cross Bars. And part number Y06127 and Y06153, and these are the base clip kits for the vehicle so they can clamp onto your vehicle. We already have the front one installed, and the bars themselves have a nice aerodynamic shape to them. Which is going to cut down wind noise and drag while you are driving. Now combine with the other bar, these have a little bit more of a heavy duty to them, and they have a weight capacity of 220 lbs. Now you do want to double check with your vehicle's manual, to double check that your roof can withstand that kind of weight. They are very nice and sleek looking, almost look factory installed on your vehicle. more

Thule Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2014 Chevrolet Malibu- Video

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, we're going to test fitting the Thule Traverse Roof Rack System, using part number THLB50, TH480, and THKIT1684. With our Roof Rack assembled according to the manufacturer's instructions we're going to begin our test fit by opening the front doors on our Malibu and placing the front half of our rack and the front half on the front half of our roof line. For Thule's fit guide will measure back from the windshield nine and a half inches to the leading edge of our Foot Pack. Will do this measurement on both sides to be sure we have our feet in line with each other. Once we have our measurement done on both sides and our feet are in line with each other, will go back and forth from one side to the other and tighten a little bit of the time until we have our rack secure. With the front secure we can close our front doors and then will move to the rear. Here will open the doors, grab the rear half of our rack, place it on the rear half of our roof line and the Thule feet guide measurement here is going to be twenty five and five eight seven inch from the center of the front Foot Pack to the enter of the Rear Foot Pack. more

Rhino-Rack Aero Roof Rack Installation - 2014 Chevrolet Malibu- Video

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Malibu we're going to be test fitting the Rhino Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack with the 50" long Aero crossbars, using part numbers DA126B as well as DK338. With our roof rack assembled according to the manufacturer's instructions we'll begin our test fit by opening the front doors and placing the front half of the rack onto the front edge of our roof. Per the Rhino Rack fit guide we're going to measure from where the front and rear door meet; there's a seam there. We're going to measure forward 220 millimeters or 22 centimeters. That's where we're going to put the center of our front foot pack. We'll do this measurement on both sides to be sure we have our feet in line with each other. With our measurements done on both sides and our rack sitting in the correct position we'll go ahead and move from side to side tightening down a little bit at a time to secure our rack to the vehicle. more

Today our 2012 Chevrolet Malibu were going to do a test fit of Thule roof-rack system. We will be using the Thule traverse foot pack part number TH480. The first thing to do is go ahead and assemble the roof rack according to instructions and go ahead and place along the roof of the car. So well go ahead and open the car doors and place the first cross bar in place. Okay, what well do is go ahead and place on the roof and then we measure out to find the correct position.
